'07 Chrysler Aspen

The very first Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to be offered by Chrysler was the 2007 Chrysler Aspen.

The ’07 Aspen is a full sized SUV and is priced very reasonably. The Aspen comes in a powerful 4.7L V8 engine or a Hemi V8 engine which is 5.7 L.

The hemi V8 gives a strong 335-horsepower and the 4.7 V8 235-horsepower. The Hemi model boasts the Multi-Displacement System which is known to help with fuel economy by shutting off four of the engine’s cylinders if they’re not needed. The aspen is estimated to give drivers 22 mpg on highways.

The 2007 Chrysler Aspen comes fitted with some of the best safety features around from electronic Roll Mitigation to tire pressure monitoring. Its bumpers are designed so that in a collision with a car the SUV is not likely to mow through the car. These features along with the others make the Aspen a very safe vehicle to drive.

'08 Chrysler Aspen

The brand new 2008 Chrysler Aspen has been improved in many ways. The new model now has a much more powerful engine as a standard.

The Aspen Sports Utility Vehicle still has a 4.7 liter V8 engine but there is an improvement in horse power which is up by 68 to a strong 303 hp. You can also opt for the 5.7 liter Hemi V8 which now give 335 hp and comes with the Multi-Displacement System which helps save on fuel usage.

The Aspen has a five speed automatic transmission and the SUV's towing capacity is over 8500 lbs. you can get the 2008 Chrysler Aspen in both rear wheel drive and all wheel drive.

Similar to the '07 model the '08 Aspen comes fitted with some impressive safety features including curtain side airbags, ABS and anti skid control. There's also a number of options available from leather upholstery to a navigation system.
